Prescott SunUp Rotary | 2nd Annual Tasting for Tuition Chili Cook-Off Tasting for Tuition: Six Local Chefs Compete to Support Yavapai County Youth Six local chefs. One big competition. 100% of Chili Cook-Off proceeds supporting local youth scholarships. Prescott SunUp Rotary's 2nd Annual Tasting for Tuition Chili Cook-Off returns Saturday, October 24, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Clubhouse, formerly known as The Finn, at Touchmark at The Ranch. Competing this year are Doc's BBQ & Whisky, Touchmark at the Ranch, Texas Roadhouse, Mark's Beer Garden, Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, and The Raven Cafe. Guests can taste all six competing chilis and cast their vote for the People's Choice award, while a panel of local community leaders will select the Judges' Favorites. Most importantly, 100% of proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off portion of the event stay local, supporting scholarships for youth throughout Yavapai County. Advance tickets are $25 through October 1 and will be available online and from local Rotarians. Tickets are $30 at the door. The evening will also feature a bucket raffle and cash bar. In conjunction with World Polio Day, and guests can "Show the Love" for their favorite chef by dropping a separate donation into that chef's polio bucket. All Show the Love donations benefit Rotary's fight to eradicate polio. Rotary polio contributions are matched 2-to-1 by the Gates Foundation, turning every $1 into $3 toward polio eradication.
