About Us
True Grit Leadership equips people to lead through life's challenges, and we use HORSES to do it. Our perspective is that everyone is a leader--all lead their lives and influence others.
Our mission is to equip and encourage people in their leadership, using horses (Equine Assisted Learning method) and retreat (stepping back from the day to day to learn a fresh perspective). Interactions with the horses and people are seen as metaphors for life and leadership. All activities are from the ground, so no horse experience necessary.
Our vision is to serve all who desire to grow, learn and heal in order to become more effective in their leadership. This growth, learning and healing benefits the family, organization and community. As a faith based non-profit 501(c)3, we operate on donations only--never turning away participants who may lack financial resources. We serve individuals, families, groups and teams from diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
Classes/Workshops are held in Cottonwood, AZ and include: activities with the horses, journal/reflection time, debrief (learning and action steps). Common topics people present with are communication, relationships, team building, health, life transitions, conflict management, healing, grief and loss, time management, healthy boundaries, self- care.
