Sedona/Verde Valley PRIDE Festival Weekend
Sedona/Verde Valley PRIDE is excited to start gearing up for the 2014 Pride Festival Weekend. These events are planned for the last weekend in September, Thursday the 25th through Sunday the 28th. The main festival event will be held at the Old Town Community Baseball Field in Cottonwood and the other smaller events will happen throughout the Verde Valley. This year?s theme is ?Free 2 Be You!? True to its goal, The Sedona/Verde Valley Pride Festival has an uplifting, positive impact on our community. Whether you want to show your support for human rights and equality, gain more exposure for your business, or enjoy a weekend of new friends, fun and festivities, this is the event for you! We are currently seeking sponsors, vendors, large-scale venues and host hotels interested in exciting marketing opportunities as well as volunteers for this year?s festival. Sponsors, vendors and venues are exposed to 1,000+ attendees, plus the chance to reach wider audiences through special advertising opportunities, social media marketing, web site links and more (when and where applicable). From pre-planning committees, to set-up, to ticket takers, medics and other event staff, we need all the volunteers we can get! S/VV Pride is a wonderfully diverse group of people, so whether you?re gay, straight, transgendered, bisexual, asexual or even Plebian, giving just a few hours of your time is a fun way to support basic human rights and make great new friends! Since education is one of the main focal points of the organization, the 2014 Pride Festival will feature a timeline of LGBT history. Covering the highs and lows of ?alternative? sexuality by decades, this exhibit is sure to teach, inspire and perhaps surprise those who choose to take a look back.
